Truman Capote once wrote: “I am always drawn back to places where I have lived, the houses and their neighborhoods.” The works of the nine artists in the exhibition HOME
are a testament to the validity of Capote’s statement. We all carry with us our own associations and images of “home.” “Home” may describe and entire country, a familiar or strange neighborhood, styles of architecture and notions of décor. It is a space created according to individual ideas of comfort and security, yet perhaps more importantly, it is constructed and altered by personal history, social relationships and memory. Like Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz,” we know that “there is no place like home” and we long to get back there.

The nine photographers featured in the exhibit are:

Tracey Baran, Gary Burnley, Reuben Cox, Marcia Due, James Kendi’s, Darin Mickey, Christine Osinski, Jennifer Williams, Bryan Zimmerman
