I will be there late May through to end of June then i will return in August embedded with the TFG in mogadishu….
So, maybe in August we could meet up, would be cool to travel with a fellow journo when in the Mog. The security will also be cheaper ; )

Currently in West Africa. Heading in around the same time as well. Would be good to share security costs. How long are you planning on making the trip? Week? Month? More? When will you have your dates nailed down?

If you don’t have a place to lay your head in Mog, I have a suggestion for you passed on by a few colleagues.

JDR – what are the chances you will be there in June? I have found a place to stay, like yourself its been recommended, they also provide security for. I spoke to the owner that said she would do a discount for a months stay – albeit that is maybe too long (and expensive).

Good luck getting out to Turkana. It’s a long and expensive trip. Where else are y’all trying to get to? If I’m here I can house people short term (a couple nights) while in Nairobi.
