What is needed to attend the professional week? Do you need accreditation? I have a faux press pass, which I used with US Troops in Iraq, and that’s it. I’m wondering if I have to have some kind of professional affiliation.

well, you can say you are a freelance photog (true i suppose) and get some kind of ID proving that, actually your US troops press pass would probably do…:-) it used to be a bit difficult to get accredited in Perp when it was free for professionals, but now we have to pay 50 euros, so it is easier…
in doubt call 2e bureau (their number is on the Visa pour l’image website). I would also advise you to register in advance as the waiting queues can be long if you don’t…

Accreditation for access to the areas restricted to ‘pros’ was to be in by July 31st. You can get it on arrival, but expect ot have to wait for them to process you application- maybe six hours. Until then, they should allow you to enter admin building where meetings take place upstairs. No press id was necessary when I went, but the Euros were a must- unless you’re exhibiting…

In my experience, the July deadline is not a big problem, just send them an e-mail or call them up, they will register you until a week or so before the beginning of the thing…

Bruno! Love your Gaza images. I am all about the Hass. I still use mine, and honestly, I still prefer it over digital. #57 is a very moodful, astheticlly graphic image. I think that the edit could be a bit tighter…but I understand, If I had gone there, I would feel justified in showing 89 pics as well. I hope you are having fun in Perpignan…hope to see you soon! -erin
