photographer's vest, airport security
|
Has anyone encountered any problems anywhere with airport security when you’ve worn a photographer’s vest and stuffed the pockets?
In a number of threads here, I see the vest listed as an option for getting past the weight limits for the carry-on bag.
I’ve been through airports in Mumbai, Saigon, and Taipei in the last 6 months, with vest, and I haven’t been questioned, but I wonder what the response has been in other parts of the world. Thanks.

No.. if your camera hangs from your shoulder. But one is definitly subjected to more frisking… Rest OK.

Never…I’ve used a vest in Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia…and quite a few places I can’t remember.

They ask me to take it off, for the metal detectors here in the states, the last few times, I tried to wear one through. then once it went through the X-ray machine, they went through it by hand as well as my camera bag.

Thanks for the information. Any objections from the flight crews as you were boarding?
