Photographing Istanbul bathhouses

Hi. I will be in Istanbul for a week in September and I’d love to photograph the bath houses. Does anyone have any experience with that? Can you recommend a specific bath house and let me know if it’s hard to get permission to photograph inside? Thanks

most famous is cemberlitas hammam. i only know they were all way too expensive for me when i’ve stayed there for a couple of weeks ;-)

I’d be very intersted to know your results. I’ve wanted to do something on the bathhouses in Taiwan for a long time, but never got around to seriously seeking access. The biggest problem is getting releases/permission from the customers. Tobie Openshaw

It wont be easy… i tried Dargudi Hammam in Tripoli’s Italian Quarter… wasn’t so easy!.. unless you sneakily take some shots!
