Photography in Boston
|
I am currently in Boston for 10 days and will be back four times in between now and end of May. I am looking for photo galleries, points of interest, etc. Any suggestions? Also, is there a good photo processing lab in the area? Thanks everyone! It is cold here!

Hi Nathan:
Hammond Castle is beautiful inside and out. http://www.dupontcastle.com/castles/hammond.htm A must see and can be done in a day trip combining Gloucester and Rockport http://www.gloucester.com/ . Start in Beverly on route 127 and drive all the way through to Rockport to Motif#1 http://www.rockportusa.com/aboutrockport/aboutrkprt.html
It is one of the most beautiful drives I know of.

Nathan,
The Boston Photo Collaborative has B/W and color darkroom rental http://www.bostonphoto.org/darkroom.html
And though it’s not photo, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is probably one of the greatest in the United States. I think there is a photo show (artist in residence thing) going on at the moment though. http://www.gardnermuseum.org/
A ferry ride to Provincetown after Memorial day is also a good time.

thanks, guys. great info. i don’t think i can make the drive to hammond castle on this trip, but maybe on a later one. i will definitely check out the gardner, though.
