I very often forget that there really are apparently honest people with rather flexible ethics (work or otherwise).

I wonder if the photographer who used the hotel for his/her portfolio realized that it’s basically the same thing if the hotel used without a permission his/her photo to promote their business?

It’s absolutely correct that you make an appeal to “cut it out for yours and our sake as a community” but – sorry for being cynic – I suspect that these people care for a community only as long as they get something out of it. When it comes to giving… “Look man, I’m really busy” or something.

Personally—-I don’t care, which is not to say I do not acknowledge the problem—-but there is nothing to do in the new era of where we are. If a big hotel, a haute Restaurant or an on the edge clothing boutique hires a Faux Foto Man/Woman, they suffer the consequences in some form and if not, its business as usual—-primarily because the image side of the business is handled and where it needs to be—

Now, is what JM says is true—-? —200 percent, but can I worry about it—? I don’t in the least, we all carve out something off what we offer so that’s it—-I had three burritos yesterday and today I have three burritos more—

Do the efforts of the misleaders diminish the overall flavor of editorial images, un-doubtedly so——work within the sh*t and move on—
