580 I'm British, currently UK based, about to set off on a long term trip along the coast of France, Spain, Portugal, back along the south coast of Spain, then setting up a new base in Spain, prior to heading over to Morocco and hopefully other regions of Africa after that. Trips to Japan, California and Australia are scheduled for the following year, 2009/10. I'm self funded, so not on a contract anywhere. I may be going to apply for residence in Spain once I've been there again for 3 months plus. I don't currently hold a press card, but am thinking it might be of help to me in certain circumstances. Can anyone recommend the best way to go about obtaining one. I gather I can get one through joining the NUJ.
