Pricing advice for a band banner
|
I’m looking for advice on what to charge a rock band for use of one of my photos as an 8ft x 6ft backdrop banner. The image will just be supplied as a b/wt. tiff by me-they will organise the printing. Anyone any ideas? I don’t think this is quite ‘Kiss’ or ‘Black Sabbath’, just a small 70’s rock cover band.

Bump!! Surely someone on LS has some wisdom to impart on this one?
As the e-mail enquiry came from Ireland, I’m tempted to just let the buggers have my picture for FREE, (or perhaps 10 pints of guinness) !!!
I really don’t want to ask those trustafarian-bashing a*shol$s at EPUK for advice!!

Dunno why you are so down on EPUK John, they are the place to get the most intelligent answers from on this one, and many other business matters.
fwiw, “small 70’s rock cover band” suggests no budget, and I reckon you’d be lucky to get £150.

Too many w*nk&rs on there Dave. Maybe I’ve just been unlucky in that I had bad experiences with some of the posters on there. Shit-there goes my blood pressure again!
Looks like I’d better make it half a pint of Guinness then and keep waiting for that phone call from Keane :-(

You were not far off the mark Dave-I got it up to 100 squids plus as much guinness as I can drink next time I’m in that part of Ireland-so thats exactly £150 !!
The band have also promised me an Annie Leibovitz stylee exclusive deal when they make it big-fingers crossed that’s before I retire :-))
