Quito airport infomation

Has anyone been in and out of Quito recently? I have to bring in extra gear and will be pushing the airline limits for carry-on. I was concerned about local enforcement for carry-ons. All information is appreciated. Thanks. Ron

just got back from there, no problems with the airports concerning luggage and carry ons, if you are going in with a business visa though, be prepared to get jerked around.

Any concerns over camera batteries. Do they have to be bound with insulation tape?

how do you mean? I fly all the time with an extra battery in my camera bag for my Canon 1DsII and never had anybody say anything about it. Only once in a while when inspecting my check-in luggage they will tell me to take the batteries out of my flash units, but that’s about it.
