Reprint rights?

So, I just recieved an email from a newspaper that I do quite a lot of freelance work. A woman I photographed for a business article has requested 250 reprints of the article for personal and business purposes, and the newspaper needs me to give them the rights to the photograph in order for them to do this.

What do I do? Clearly, I feel like I should get more money,especially since she is going to use it for business purposes, but how much do I charge?

Have any of you come up against this before?

How much to charge?
Hard to say, but from above I believe you mentioned the newspaper wants the rights to sell the photo to the women, now the newspaper is the agent. Also, you do a lot of work for the newspaper, so you don´t want to damage the working relationship with the newspaper.

Does the newspaper have a standard fee for reprints?

With the information above I would look at a percentage of what the newspaper is offering to the women. It could be a 70-30, 60-40, 50-50, the final say is yours since you have the copyright.

Just something to think about.
