Airport Security Rolling Carry-on

new from ThinkTank Photo looks good. It’s complete with locking zippers and a cable for securing the entire case. Longest dimension is 22" so it should be good for carry-on.

That solar pannel system only provides 10 Watts of power, 15.4V @ 600mA, thats not really not much, look out for that if you’re thinking of buying one :-/

That google proxy is going to be useful….. Anyone know what “10 Watts of power, 15.4V @ 600mA” translates to in terms of working?

dont know about solar panel stats, but I put an outfit called Northern Tool in the resources a while back — they’ve got solar power rigs, and portable fuel generators too. you might be able to get more specific info from the gizmodo site. they’ve got threads going on their articles . or try noah robischon, the guest editor — he’s on LS.

For reference a 12" powerbook charger sucks 45W of juice for example, the 17" version needs 60W I think. My external hard drive is 36W.
