Set iChat to show your local time
|
So, I have people on my IM list who are in all kinds of time zones. Thinking that it would be cool if there where some way to know what time it is on their end, I put together this Applescript which automatically sets one’s iChat status to display the local time.
It has to run continuously, so I put it in my Startup Items (it uses the “on idle” syntax, which is supposed to avoid memory problems).
Thoughts?

speaking of ichat, there’s this nifty little app called ichat status. you can write scripts to automatically update your status, like for example display the mp3 you’re rocking in itunes. now you just have to watch out when you random play your playlist and that britney spears tune pops up . . .
you can write your own scripts there as well though i have no idea how that works.
you can find it here: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/10115
