I’ve always used Cathay Photo at Peninsula Plaza. Seems their prices are fair enough, and most of the guys are knowledgeable. They’re online, so google-able.
The Camera Workshop ( TCW), 3 Coleman St #01-31, Peninsular Shopping Complex Singapore 179804
Tel:+65 63361956 has also been recommended to me by a couple of Singapore-based PJ friends, but I’ve never shopped there personally.
Another recommended place: john 3:16 at Funan Centre and it’s listed in LS: http://www.lightstalkers.org/john-316-photo-equipment
Good luck.

Ruby Photo is about the best Rachel, S…. http://www.rubyphoto.com.sg/

Depends on what you need. Digital stuffs you will be better off with Cathay Photo because they are well stocked and prices are fair. If you need film stuffs, then you can find more of the stuff in Ruby Photos just across the road. The Camera Workshop sell more of the 2nd hand gears.

Several. Cathay Photo, Lord’s, Alan Photo, etc. Drop me an email to let me know what specific stuff you are looking for and I can provide you more details. ;)

I have used Cathay Photo for two large purchases – no complaints.

Everyone’s suggestions are all dependable stores. You can add John 3:16 in Funan Center to that list.
|
Ah yes… I did intend to add it in but decided against it because it is generally known to locals to price their items higher but its service also surpasses others.
|
Yah Eugene, that’s what I’ve been told by a few Singaporean friends about John 3:16. The father-and-son team seem to be very customer-service oriented, but prices won’t be best in Singapore.

recentlly bought a brand new eos 40d from harvey norman (suntec city)very good customer service and knowledgeable, can consider on paying by installment.
|
Having visited several Harvey Norman stores in Australia, I never thought I’d see the phrases “Harvey Norman”, “very good customer service” and “knowledgeable” all in one line. Must be something in the Singapore water…
