Amid the holiday madness, we bring you a few exciting announcements.

And here it is as well:
For one, we have updated the Slideluck Potshow website with the latest slideshows, photos from the event, recipes and feedback. In addition, we have added a gallery of images from the Nikon Photobooth and a short video from the evening. http://www.slideluckpotshow.com
The theme of Slideluck Potshow XI is “Patterns” and the show is scheduled to take place on March 29th, in conjunction with The Armory Show. We look forward to seeing some creative and thoughtful observations on the patterns— textural, structural, behavioral, societal or otherwise— that color our world.
As previously mentioned, Slideluck Potshow has begun offering membership with levels from $25 (Peeps) to $2500 (Ballers) for a one-year membership. So far the response and generosity has far exceeded our expectations! Please consider making your tax-deductible contribution and become a Founding Member today, or better yet: give the gift of a Slideluck Potshow Membership!
We had our first members-only event on Sunday, December 16th. We got together for an intimate dinner and slideshow of selected works from all of the shows outside of New York. It was just like the good old days! We have another member-event planned for January as well.
We have an exciting opportunity for members: Nikon has generously lent three DSLR camera set-ups to three individuals to create a submission for SLPS XI! We are currently seeking individuals that are in need of a digital camera and are eager to take this opportunity to create a body of work to be considered for the the next Slideluck. This hot little kit includes a Nikon D80, an 18-50mm lens, a 50mm f/1.4 lens, and an SB-800 flash.
Next, we are teaming up with Redux Pictures, an independent photo agency based in New York, to help produce a photo story. Redux will review all photo story submissions for SLPS XI and choose one to represent. They will work with the photographer on editing and packaging the story, and if needed, split expenses with the photographer to go out and do more shooting. Once the story is complete, Redux will syndicate it worldwide and pitch it to photo editors at appropriate publications.
That’s all the good news for now. We will also be posting a revised SLPS Schedule for 2008 on the blog. Next on deck: Detroit, Chicago, Sao Paolo, Rio, and Acarigua! We hope this message finds you both happy and healthy and we wish you all of the best for the year ahead.
