Stalking money on Lightstalkers........!

This was posted to me yesterday via LS, did anyone else get it??

Dear

Permit me to inform you about my desire to go into business relationship with you,

I am Aminu Watara the only son of Mr and Mrs. Micheal Watara, my father was a very rich cocoa merchant, based in Abidjan, the economic capital of ivory coast before he was poisoned to death by his business associates on one of their outings to discuss on a business deal.

When my mother died on may 24,1996, my father took me so special since i am motherless. Before the death of my father on july 26,2004 in a private hospital where he was admitted, he called me secretly to his bed side and told me that he kept a sum of us$10,500,000 (ten million five hundred thousand united states dollars) in a bank in Abidjan cote D’ivoire.

That he used my name Aminu Watara as the next of kin in deposit of the fund he also explained to me that it was because of this money he was poisoned by his business partner and that i should seek for a foreign partner in a country of my choice where i would transfer this money and use it for an investment purpose, such as:real estate investment or stock market investment .I am honourably soliciting your kind assistance as follows.

(1)to provide a bank account where this money will be transferred to.

(2)to serve as the guardian of these fund, since I am a boy of 22 years old.

(3)to make arrangement for me in your country to continue my educational

Career and to procure me a residential permit in your country.i am inclined to offer

you 15% of the total sum as a mode of compensation for your efforts after the transfering of these fund to your account in your country.please, i will be very happy if this tansaction will be concluded within seven(7)working days from now. I am expecting hearing from you as soon as possible.

N.B: I will like you to give me your direct telephone and fax number in your reply of this proposal, for urgent I needed, please write me to my private email ( aminu_watar3@yahoo.com ) for more proof.

May almighty god bless you as you do care for an orphan like me, anticipating to hear from you.

Best regards
Aminu Watara

in the end somebody ask them to give a photo with a fish on the head or many other silly stuff and the web page (which I don’t remember the name) used to have such a funny photo gallery from this people…

Watch out, famous scam similar to the ones out of Nigeria. If it looks too good to be true it is.

well they are the same scams but as this trick is around since long time I have reason to think that someone has fallen in that, that’s sad….

Scams are one of the biggest capital gainers in Nigeria.
I know way too many people who get these.

Dear Mr. Brown,

My name is Stuart Isett and I am a freelance photographer based in Paris. My father was a well-employed business man who gave me the finest of educations but being the stupid, rebellious sort, I thought I’d take on the arts, leaving me gravely stricken with poverty and congenital griping. However, god be praised, my great uncle recently died after a coup d’etat on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and left me $30,000,000 (thirty million dollars) making me the luckiest god-damn, fucking freelance photographer ever born. However, it has been suggested that I send this money overseas to invest in your thriving photography business in Bangkok for, as we all know, there’s nothing luckier than an Aussie in Bangkok who hasn’t contracted the clap.

I am honourably soliciting your kind assistance as follows. (1) to provide a bank account where this money will be transferred to. (2) to serve as the guardian of these fund, since I am a man-child of nearly 40 years old. (3) to make arrangement for me in your country to continue my bar-stool sitting career and to procure me a residential permit and 16 year old farm bride in your country.

I am inclined to offer you a few of my finer photography prints as a mode of compensation for your efforts after the transfering of these fund to your account in your country.

May almighty god bless you as you do care for an photography-orphan like me, anticipating to hear from you. Best regards Stuart Isett

"lagos is more reliable paris you never know…"

THanks for the laugh but you’re right, the banks in Lagos would be easier. Nigerians also would be embarrassed to have an airport run like CDG.

Dear Mr. Isett
I also got very touched by your story. I really don’t have any money but if you want to, I can send you some new bar-stools. What do you prefer Regular mail or Express international Priority?

/Best Regards

Hey, I received this in my mailbox this morning!. I cant believe Shinji has fixed this problem yet! :

"Dear Sir/Madam: I understand that you are a photographer and I am a poor and struggling photographer myself. My father is also a photographer and a teacher and my mom is an artist and teacher as well. My father has joined an on-line community called "LightStalkers" and participates marginally in it. However, I am only 11-years old and I am unable to command respect in the world of photography. I am also desperate to sell my prints, as I am desperate to purchase a new PlayStation III (okay, I’ll except the new X-box, even if my dad is against Microsoft). Therefore, could you kindly donate to me some money. Even better, would be your bank account number!I am honourably soliciting your kind assistance as follows. (1) to provide a bank account where this money will be transferred to. If you help me, I will help you when I am rich and famous. Besides, my dad cannot affort a new playstation since he is a typical, rebellious artist. Also, I promise to send you a fine print (okay, mabye some thumbprints). Please, invest in me, the future! Sincerely, Mr. D. Black (son of Bob Black). P.S. Can you also, if you have the time, look at my portfolio and provide me comments, since I dont believe what my dad tells me. May you be blessed from above."

Cheers,
Bob

Police are staggered by the amount of money gullible Australians are losing to Nigerian investment scammers …

At least in America when we get scams like that, we get cheap magazine subscriptions. In fact, we . . .  woops, gotta go, I think the Prize Van is in MY neighborhood…

I personally know a few "photographers" in Shanghai, Bangkok and Paris (earlier: Tokyo) who have tried to trick me a few times in a small north-nigerian town called Perpignan, trying to extort money from me by showing me some of their fine art prints…These guys are not black anymore and thus do not look very suspicious to a racists eye, but they are extremely well connected. They usually carry barstools from scandinavia with them (made in cambodia) and make you believe that you can also hang them on the wall in a frame – don´t believe this! The US office of Homeland Security has issued a strong warning recently as well, cause some of the barstools have reappeared near a broken dam in New Orleans…etc.etc….
