David Allen Harvey used it and reviewed its performance, but I forget just where i saw the article: one of the techie mags or perhaps PDN? I bet if you google it you could probably find it. He apparently liked it. I was thinking of giving it a try too.

I’d read these awhile back (as I’m also intrigued):

This is David Allen Harvey’s test

Like most digital cameras what annoys me is that the sensor is smaller than a 35mm film frame. So you have the conversion factor (1.5 in the R-D1) Your 28mm wideangle becomes a 42mm !!!!

Harvey reviewed it in American Photo a couple of issues ago. Said it was not bad, but the lens mag factor was annoying if you like the wide angles. The images he shot at 1600 were nice though.

Lets wait and see what Leica can come up with. Should be sometime early next year apparently. I wish Konica Minolta would make a digital Hexar just like the original black fixed lens but the lens would have to be 35mm equivalent. Maybe they could make a 28 and 50 as well. I’d get the lot. That would be perfect. 6 to 8 megapixels. Hmm, that would be so sweet. Are you listening Konica?
