Anger’s international journalism festival
The 21st issue will take place from the 13th to the 25th november 2006

So the next issue is on again. This year, the theme will be

After “Violence and Information” (2004) and “Journalism and History” (2005), this festival will offer to the public a space of thought about the links which exist between Sport and Medias. Great sport events, like the Tour de France and Olympic Games which are over a century old, and the ways the Medias show them, will be watched through debates and crossroads with best sportsmen, sportswomen, journalists and specialists. The links between sport and health but also sport and training will be developed. For the first time, a colloquia will be organized to think about how schools of journalism should modify their teaching, considering the profound changes which have occurred in doing the job of journalist and the new habits of the people.

There will be also many photo exhibitions, meetings, films showings upon scientific, society and military matters.

This 21 st festival will make us live, together, great times, in Angers and the main town of the Loire Region, henceforth partners of the festival.

Created in 1986, pennies the Edward BEHR honorary presidency, the International Festival of SCOOP and Journalism is patronized by UNESCO and French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and has become the centre piece of French cultural events, in the matter of journalism. Worldwide renowned for the variety of the reports presented and the level of the competition, but also for the user-friendliness or the well trained organization, the festival is some kind of a space of thought upon the Human Being and the events which surround him. In the past, the festival allowed many journalists and reports to be expressed and acquire new dimensions. Thus, several photo or video reports, initially awarded in Angers, then have received world dedications : World Press Photo award, American Press award, Prix Albert Londres, China International Press Photo contest of Shenzen award.

Thanks to a very active team and to always faithful professional relays, the Festival aims to a very wide audience, through numerous photo exhibitions, debates, crossroads, meeting and evening events.
