Updating software for Monaco Optix Pro

I have found the following by googling, but has anyone tried updating the software?

I have a Sony Vaio with Win 7 64 professional edition. Before I am going to try what is being suggested, I was wondering if anybody has tried his or another method to update the program to run the Calibrator, DTP94.
