Students learn what is required of a photojournalist, not just in the field but also when it comes to having work published or to getting work seen. Developing a personal sensitivity and visual style is emphasized. Haviv encourages participants to work using their instinct rather than a formula. Combining portfolio reviews, assignments, editing sessions and dialogue, Ron also shares his work and experience as a photojournalist.
