Wednesday Nov 2 Brooklyn Sendoff Party

Hello All — this wednesday night at Bembe in Brooklyn (southside williamburg), we’re having a send off party for the new york crew. Sandra Lourenco and Michael Ackerman are heading out thursday. Sandra’s going back to Mozambique, Michael’s heading back to Poland. I’m out for Pakistan on friday. Azu will be moving turntables and capirhinias. there’ll also be a fundraising raffle to support Sandra’s ongoing project on the Makonde tribe in Mozambique.

Spencer Mandell has also generously offered himself up for a night of romance, fine dining, and breakdancing, so we are pleased to add a "dream date with Spencer Mandell" to the prize list.

heya Mo. you don’t have to be on the scene to collect your prize, but I suppose you’ve got to find a way to pay for your raffle ticket before the drawing. not sure how that works, other than sending someone by the bar with the money.

some last minute additions to the prizelist :
Brian Young has generously donated a print as well. I don’t have details on the image as yet.
furthermore, we are upping the ante on the Spencer Mandell dreamdate.
Spencer has assured us that he will be suitably bathed and groomed for escort services, and I am personally throwing in two MREs (no 23. chicken cavatelli, and no 11. vegetarian pasta) and a tetrapak of wine-in-a-box.
