A former colleague and I are developing a publication committed to photography. Please take a look at our mission, pasted below. If this interests you at all, as I think it might, I invite you to submit your work and spread the word to others who might like to do the same.

WhiteInk is a quarterly publication dedicated to the art of documentary photography.

In contrast to the mass media’s focus on the image of the moment, our mission is to showcase human interest projects that are timeless. The stories will span subjects of social, political, and cultural interest, anchored by a strong narrative.

Work from across the globe will be featured, with preference given to underrepresented photographers and writers. With this focus, WhiteInk hopes to create a space for feature work that has a limited place in the global media industry.

Each issue will feature six to eight photo essays, accompanied by text. Additional features and listings will include gallery exhibitions, grants for photographers, and photography competitions. The publication will be launched online at www.whiteinkmagazine, and we hope to release a limited-edition print version in the coming months.

Submissions are accepted at submit@whiteinkmagazine.com. Please include 10 to 15 low-resolution digital files and a brief statement about the subject of the work.
