And congrats also to fellow Lightstalker Michael Robinson Chavez on being WHNPA photog of the year (and also first place in the Picture Story/News category)!
Oh, and by the way…considering modesty, one David Holloway (the guy that started this post) won first place in Sports Features/Reaction and third place in Picture Story/Sports). There may be other LS people who were winners whom I did not recognize. The community has some terrific shooters in it.
I meant to come back on Saturday or Sunday to see some of the judging but unfortunately got swept up in other weekend things. The judging apparently was open to the public, which was a great thing. Thanks to National Geographic for letting its facilities be used for this event. It allowed open and transparent judging by some excellent judges. Kudos to WHNPA for this process.
