WSJ hiring a photo editor (must be capable of forming a coherent email)

RT@erinsiegal Ha, the WSJ is hiring a photo editor: “You must be easy to talk with and able to form a coherent email.” http://bit.ly/15zIK6O

Well, that seems reasonable enough. Just out of curiosity, I’d like to see some of the “incoherent” e-mails that prompted this request. You know, just so I know how much coherence is expected at WSJ.

Why do they feel the coherence of their emails should be an exception to their general editorial writing?

Bwuhahaaha… it must be because they know that after 8pm most people in editorial jobs have already had their first beer for the night….

Lisa, on second thought, now that we know the US government is collecting our email and telephone records perhaps it is best to be somewhat incoherent.

Hey Barry I just saw the Guardian piece….hmmm…I have actually just closed down my Facebook account because the lack of personal privacy was doing my head in…one of the blogs I wrote copped some flak and I was harassed over on my personal Facebook page by some woman A/who had no idea what I wrote… meaning she hadn’t even read the blog and B/ Had absolutely no first hand association with me…plus my personal life was being scrutinised and I hate that…So Lisa Hogben is out of Facebook permanently now as Lisa Hogben..Thankfully there are 4 other Lisa Hogben’s so thats enough to confuse people I hope…

I am really resenting the lack of just personal privacy that I have now days…I don’t want my friends posting photos of me or telling people where I am…while social networking is alright for letting people know about your work I am finding Facebook really counterproductive…I don’t need to be personally famous on Facebook…

So thats it… I am back on LS for social interaction….
