Please come out to Bluestockings, Friday September 14, 7pm to meet Ed Wiley, Appalachian grandfather fighting for justice in West Virginia. Wiley formed PenniesofPromise.org to help raise money to build a new school for some 230 students at MArsh Fork Elementary School in Sundial, WV. The school sits dangerously close to a massive coal processing plant, 2.8 billion gallons of toxic sludge and a mountaintop removal site. Caskey is an independent photojournalist who will present her work addressing the human and environmental costs of Mountaintop Removal/Valley Fill coal mining in Appalachia.
