You should be able to type all the accents you need straight onto the post since the switch to the new system, which is one reason I love this. But I have to point out that my computer is set for Español ISO so the keyboard is somewhat reconfigured. If you are using the old PC style number codes, maybe that is what is screwing you over? Dunno. Maybe your computer doesnt speak Spanish!

I’m using explorer in a windows XP

by Quique Kierszenbaum | 05 May 2006 17:05 | Jerusalem, Israel |
Ha you’re screwed then. Windows! Explorer! I wonder how Firefox does on a PC. I have heard it is OK. I hate Explorer, my website looks like shit on it; all the leading is off and I have yet to figure out how to fix it.

Quique: that’s probably the problem: I CANT type in spanish using windows (not since the make-over of Lightstalkers)...in all fairness, download Mozilla, you should be off that god-forsaken wormvirus-prone hole Explorer anyway ;)))...

Jon/Quique: i used Firefox on my old Windows computer, and while slow, it worked perfectly fine…of course on our new G5: all is pearl :))>..

Bob, don’t worry about your Spanish (or Portuguese, or Swahili…), if you can ask for water (vade retro!!), beer or wine, bread and meat you’ll be OK (sex is mostly by sign language, anyway…) :-)

hahahahaaaa, while I was living in Andalucia, I used a spanish keyboard. all the symbols and tilde of course worked fine. i use firefox almost exclusively and have my XP configured to recognize the spanish keyboard though english is the preferred language of choice. BTW: everytime i’ve used altaVista babel translation services in the past, it gave me everything okay. i’ve since switched to google’s language tool as i hate using the mouse (use a Wacom tablet) and use the keyboard to do everything else…. now living in the states, using my laptop and waiting arrival of my desktop with that spanish keyboard…
