Recycling Epson Ink Cartridges in NYC
|
For anyone in NYC looking to recycle their epson ink cartridges (for R1800 or similar sized printer cartridges) the Fedex in Union Square (east) has a recycle container that accepts them.
Thought peeps would like to know, as I received this email from Epson:
“We do not refill or remanufacture them. Neither of these alternatives is cost effective. Nor do we have a program set up to receive them for recycling at this time. We are currently evaluating programs designed to accommodate used ink cartridges. We are working toward a program that is environmentally appropriate yet economical and convenient for our customers to use. “

they also have these nifty prepaid-postage plastic envelopes at any Kinko’s, at least here in NY, that you can use to send empty cartridges of any brand to a recycling center
