REGIONAL BGAN ( RBGAN ) SERVICE DOWN AFTER JAN 31st 2008

Inmarsat is phasing out Regional BGAN (RBGAN) service to allow more capacity for its newer and more powerful BGAN service. RBGAN service will not be available after December 31, 2008. For this reason, HNS-9101 RBGAN terminals are available at very low cost but the customer must understand that the terminal will not be usable after December 31, 2008. Customers may purchase prepaid usage but the validity will not extend beyond December 31, 2008 and any unused prepaid RBGAN usage would at that point be lost.

as usual we’ ll be froced to trash fairly new gear. hopefully in two years ill have the 2000 USD to buy the new one.
