Hey all, wanted to remind you about the NGO/wildlife photography workshop in Africa in July 2011.
Time flies when you’re considering a cool workshop! The first time I ever took advantage of an overseas opportunity in photojournalism I thought about it so long that I almost missed the opportunity! It was my first trip when I had the opportunity to travel with the US Air Force to Somalia. Please don’t miss out on the opportunity to join us for this really amazing experience in July. The sooner we meet our minimum number, the sooner we reserve everything for the NGO/wildlife photography workshop in Africa.
In case you missed it, we will be partnering participants individually with development and relief organizations (NGO’s) working in the area around Kampala for a week to documentary photography. I’ve had the privilege of doing a great deal of this work over the years and would like to share this incredible experience with others. (see the first portfolio on my site deliaphotographic.com)
Thing is that most of the orgs we will be working with don’t always have access to good photography so the added bonus is helping them to gain that access so they can do a better job of communicating their missions to the world.
Our roster of partners includes three medical clinics for the poor, a school for the blind and a micro-finance program among them, with new orgs inquiring about this workshop every week.
To be a little different, we also thought it would be pretty incredible after an intense week of working with these orgs, to add a week of photo safari in a couple of pretty amazing wildlife parks. Please take a look at the blog we’ve set up to explain in detail: http://www.photoworkshopuganda.com/
… and of course, please get in touch with me. And please pass the word if you know anyone who might be interested in joining us on this incredible trip.
