About
I spent two years working at a small newspaper in Washington DC called the Legal Times. I was fortunate enough to photograph large news events including both political conventions, the 2005 inauguration, 9/11 commission hearings, the John Roberts confirmation hearings and of course protests. I also made several hundred portraits of lawyers. While I learned a lot from my time in DC, I needed a new challenge, so my wife (a writer) and I moved to Buenos Aires where we freelanced for most of 2006. We are now back in Virginia. My photos have been published in National Geographic Traveler, Smithsonian, the New York Times, Time Magazine and BusinessWeek.
