I make photographs depicting stories, witnessing the discovery of cultures and places, and observing peculiar details of life, people and societies. Call it documentary, portrait, travel photography…
Born in France in the 80s, I started communication studies in France as to become an advertising guru. But instead this is in England I graduated, leaving advertising behind and getting a Bachelor of Arts in Culture and Media.
My experience of photography begins long before this academic period, but be it advertising or cultural studies, the college years had me develop a growing interest for the puzzling question of definition of identity.
Shooting portraits in London, Lyon or Paris in a seemingly fashion-kind-of way; observing the cities habitus in Venice, Berlin, or Shanghai; documenting ethnic minorities in indonesian islands or in chinese mountains… If the central focus of my work is the Human, questioning identity is my global approach to photography, and travels are a part of it as a mandatory source of inspiration.
I am now based in Berlin, Germany where I develop fashion-oriented projects in the wait for the next plane to catch.
