Victor Rojas is a Chilean photographer, born in 1975. He began serious photography in 1998, in parallel with his professional work as an engineer, motivated by a passion for photojournalism. After some time, photography became a new profession for him when he began working as a stringer for Agence France Presse, contributing to many important
AFP stories such as presidental elections, international forums, human interest and South American sports. He has worked as staff photographer for the newspaper La Tercera, and has contributed photos to other national and international papers.
He also works to develop his personal vision and documentary style, and has contributed to various exhibitions and shows such as the Cultural Carnival of Valparaiso in 2000, the Week of Photography in Santiago, 2001, and the annual Photography Show held in Valparaiso, 2002.
His latest activities include documentary coverage of the Chilean presidential campaign of Sebastián Piñera in 2006, and contributing photographer to diverse foreign publications such as the Boston Globe, Der Spiegel, The London Financial Times, and MSNBC, as well as corporate work for Intel, Deuche Bahn, Geodis and others.
