Rollei 35 S help / repair

Hi there. I just picked up a Rollei 35 S. I think there might be some issues with the slow shutter speeds and the light meter. Does anyone know where I might be able to take this in New York to get it looked at? Thanks.

I know where to get it done in Paris if they don’t fix those in NY

i just go to panorama camera 30s between 6 and 7th.

they do a good job, 3 month guarantee. not too pricey either. worth checking out simply b/c the store is way too cool looking, all kinds of old camera stuff.

the other option is nippon photo clinic. bit more pricey.

Hi Eugene, if your talking about Rollei’s rangefinder, it might be similar to the Bessa R2M’s meter.

Because the ISO dial and the shutter dial are built into each other, at low shutter speeds the meter stops working

eg:

400ISO only meters to 1/4 sec

800ISO only meters to 1/8 sec

1600ISO ” ” ” 1/15 sec

etc..

the shutter still works, just the meter doesn’t past these times..
