Rwanda

Hiya

I might be going to Rwanda and the DRC in the next month or so and was looking for any info regarding the current political situation, danger areas, prices and also any fixers who people have actually used and can recommend.

Very little info on job yet, so this by it’s nature has to be very vague question, sorry, but any info gratefully recieved.

I’ve been looking through the archives, some great info, however it would be good to get current info.

Cheers

Hello Ant,

I’ve been to Rwanda a couple of times last year, it is a lovely country, lovely people, but everywhere you will notice the stigmatas of the genocide. Kigali is not really a nice town, to moove get a public bus (very cheap) or a mototaxi, the current political situation is calm, the country is not dangerous, in KIGALI I recommend the Hotel Beausejour (near Chez Lando which is a very famous place in Kigali) where you can find some very nice room for 20 dollars a day. Internet cafe just next to it. During the day, there is man working there, his name is Seba, he knows the city, you can trust him. If you feel like going there, just tell me I’ll give you his email.
I might also go in DRC in april…
Have a good trip.
Cheers. HUGO.
