Ryan has Photography experience in 34 countries including hostile and warring countries such as 4 years in Afghanistan and 1 year in Kosovo, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Tanzania, Indonesia, Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia.
He Specializes in embedded conflict/post conflict Photography as well as unique wildlife, scenic, sports and macro photography.
Ryan is extremely patient photographer with 15 years experience in not just capturing the perfect moment, but the most expressive moments.
He is a very skilled professional who can blend and move through countries without detection and self-reliant during times of crisis. Including moving through Afghanistan without detection dressed as a local by local means
He is known for his ability to obtain resources, make contacts and obtain information most cannot acquire through honest negotiations and relationships and the ability to very quickly learn/speak a language in a couple week’s time.
He is a proven travel and hostile survival expert and survival instructor for remote and hostile locations with certifications in wilderness/urban survival tactics, Survival Evasion and Escape and licensed emergency medical technician.
Ryan has been recognized by peers and senior management for troubleshooting, issue resolution, and teamwork as well as for building positive relationships through the use of well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
He is also a certified Advanced PADI diver with marine life underwater photography experience in East Asia, North America and Africa. With extensive camping, hiking, rock climbing and mountaineering experience.
Ryan also had photography experience both at “Ground Zero” N.Y. City as well as Hurricanes Katrina/Rita.
