Freelance photographer based in Tampa, FL shooting news, portraiture, sports, weddings and creating multimedia projects. I’m originally from Coolville, Ohio (seriously…there is really a town called Coolville!). Graduated from Ohio University and have had lots of great jobs—worked for a congressman on Capitol Hill, brewed beer and built microbreweries for 5 years in DC and NYC, worked as a fly fishing guide on a Wyoming ranch for 2 years, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteered in Kazakhstan from 2000-2002. Shortly after returning from Kazakhstan I began work as an intern and photojournalist for a young picture agency on Capitol Hill covering mostly politics and news in and around DC. Later that year I got a staff position with a newspaper company in Northern Virginia. After six months with the paper I turned to freelancing because the compensation wouldn’t pay the bills or provide for a family.
