Recent PostNat Geo picture request ASAPI’m looking for the most unique, interesting, resonating, unusual, and/or other-wordly images in the world to fill 3 spreads at the front of National Geographic Magazine each month. The section is called Visions of Earth. The subjects should be upbeat (no news, poverty, war, etc) and can range from people to animals, landscapes, abstract aerials, details, etc. The images should be recent – no older then 2 years if possible – horizontal, and color only. Please no straightforward images. We’re truly looking for one-of-a-kind incredible moments. Here’s a link to give you an idea of what we’re looking for: DEADLINE: immediate (Monday pm) and ongoing/monthly. Posting instructions: **PHOTOGRAPHER’S NAME, contact info and caption including date photographed MUST be embedded in EACH picture so we know how to contact you. Please email visions@ngs.org to let us know how many images you uploaded. Original, untouched digital files preferred but if uploading time is an issue then lower res, minimum 4 MB jpg or tifs are fine for initial posting. You will be contacted if we’re interested in the image. (NOTE: We’ve discovered upload issues with zipped/compressed files, 16 bit tifs, and .dng files. So please avoid those.) |
