Samir Karahoda born in 1977 Prizren-Kosova.
Since 1992 he works as a photographer. He graduated from University of Mimar Sinan, Faculty of Fine Arts – Department of Photography in Istanbul . At the moment he lives and works in Prishtina (Kosova) as a Freelance Photographer and Cinematographer.From October 2007 he cover stories from Kosovo and Region for Photography agency “Narphotos” based in Istnabul.
For two years he lectured in Institute of Photography and Film “Gjon Mili” and in school of film “Charlie Chaplin” in Prishtina.
For three years he is been a Co-Director and Programmer assistant in International Documentary and Short film festival “Dokufest” in Prizren-Kosova.
Since 2000 he participated in almost all collective Photography exhibitions in Kosova and he has three personal exhibitions in Kosova and abroad.
Personal Exhibitions:
“Postwar”(2003) the work was concentrated on missing persons family portraits ,protests and several postwar ceremonies. “Postwar” was exhibited in Istanbul “ AkSanat” gallery.
“Rurban” (2005), the work as a main target had a social life and diference between Rural and Urban life in Kosova. The work was exhibited in Kosova National Art Gallery an in Taksim Art Gallery in Istanbul.
Actually he is working on a Photography book about Kosova Railways .
