North Carolina-based photojournalist Sara D. Davis primarily captures life in the United States southeast. Recently documentary work has taken her abroad to Afghanistan, Peru and Ecuador. She was a member of the North Carolina Press Photographers board who made international headlines in revamping the ethics of the digital photojournalism era.
Sara graduated in 1997 from the School of Visual Communications with a specialization in photojournalism from the renowned Ohio University. A minor in anthropology compliments her degree by exploring the cultural and social customs her camera often takes her.
Her clients include Newsweek, USA TODAY, New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, The American Dance Festival, Sports Illustrated, Stern, and LaRepubblica. Her private collections have appeared nationally and internationally. She is often contracted by Getty Images and The Associated Press. Visit www.saradavisphoto.com for more.
