About

I was born in June 84 in Germany and since 2003 I am a student of Fine Arts and Spanish (Master of Education) at the Universities of Cologne and Wuppertal.

While traveling through Central America in 2005 I got interested in documentary photography. From 2006 till 2007 I spent a half year in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I worked as a journalist for the german magazine BYM while doing an internship at Prensa de Frente, a local internet newspaper and news agency.

Since then I have returned several times, not only to Argentina, but also to Brasil, where I started with a long term project in the favela Complexo Sao Carlos in Rio de Janeiro.
In Israel, I met the photographer Ziv Koren, who has influenced my work and helped me to improve my skills.
In November 2009 I’ll go to Bolivia with a scolarship which allows me to realize my final thesis in photography, covering the upcoming elections.

Postgraduate in photojournalism..or better internship? any recommendations?

I am currently looking for informations on postgraduates in USA, UK, Europe or Latinamerica.. ( course could be in english, german, spanish or portuguese..)

Now I got doubts, whether it’s better to do a postgraduate or an internship at a newspaper..what do the more experienced photographers think?

I heard about the lcc courses, the posgrado at the University of Barcelona and the International Center of Photography in NY…all these courses differ a lot in tutorial fees ( the NY course is far out of reach…) etc…does anybody have evaluation of the UAB course?
Any recommendations??

Thank you in advance!!
