Chatty Cathy. Neurotic perfectionist. Retired restaurant workhorse. A decent midfield soccer player. Sean DuFrene has been called many things. But no one who knows him has ever denied he’s a man with a vision.
With a point of the index finger and an accompanying “ah ha” people single out his work, chuckling as they charge, “That’s a DuFrene.”
Sean is always pushing himself to capture that extra shot, the one that says it best; the one that’s as timeless and masterful as any gallery-bound work.
Sean filters his daily activities through a present-moment window, with the end resulting in a mixture of caffeine-induced enthusiasm blended with creativity to churn out the best possible image.
And even though he made the cut in Communication Arts’ 2009 Photography Annual, American Photo’s 2009 Images of the Year and has been called “Best in Show,” he still manages to wash the dishes and mow the lawn.
