Is there anybody out there that can give any feedback on the best light meters on the market that you have used in the photojournalism arena. I am looking for a hardwearing unit which could be used in the profesional level (whatever that means).

I have been a doubting thomas for some time as to there usefulness in the digital age but I am aware that the vast majority of established names (James Ntchway, Brent Stirton, et al) have been using them for some time and am therefore willing to give it a try.
