SeenUnseen Sponsors: Daylight Magazine Issue #5 Release Party

Hi all,

Greetings to you in the new year. Hope you can make it Monday, January 8, to support Daylight Magazine.

Over the past year many of you have attended the evenings we’ve put on at the Bubble Lounge who have been so generous in donating their space for our projections. While very much in its infancy, the projections have evolved into something called SeenUnseen a website and series of projections that aim to showcase photographic and journalistic works that are not making it out into the mainstream. At present we are working on a date for the following presentation and a website, some news on that very soon. In the meantime we are starting off the new year by helping sponsor a benefit release party for Daylight Magazine’s issue # 5, which explores the issue of Global Commodities—on that note have a beer or a glass of wine, bid on a print and help support us continue to get this work out there.

Actually I wish I had known about this issue well in advance because of course sugar is just such a commodity as you well know. (on a side note, I have been meaning to discuss our sugar pix with and introduce you to someone else working on this issue.) Anyway, the event looks great, wish I could be there. I am sure it will be a great night. The whole Seen/Unseen thing looks very promising.

hey jon, yes me too, but at least there’s this good projection this evening…..we’re kind of putting everything together re seenunseen at the moment, so details on the way soon, until then all who are in nyc drop by the lounge and have a look.

Hi Jake, I got an invitation from Daylight saying the event started at 6:30, but this post says 8:30, so I am wondering which one is the true time. Thanks

sorry about that, there where a few versions sent out. doors are opening at 6.30, however there was a concern about over crowding, however i think if 8.30 is too late, then come by at the hour that’s best for you.
