Shen Yu grew up in Shanghai and graduated from Shanghai Engineering and Technology University in 1998, where he studied photography(1995-1998).
After graduation, Shen Yu has worked at advertisement company and local Shanghai pictorial. When ImagineChina was established in Shanghai, Shen Yu was hired as the sole photographer by ImagineChina where he honed his photogpraphy skills and numerous works have been used by international publications like International Herald Tribune, Time, .....
