shooting in paris

hi folks,

what’s the situation for photographers in paris these days? i know the french have some pretty hefty laws in place with regard to shooting in their fair land. i might be going to paris soon and just wanted to find what the deal is.

thanks,
jason

just got back from paris and had no problems at all street shooting (except for the crappy weather). you can expect trouble if you want to shoot police action or anything ‘sensitive’ like that, but that’s true almost anywhere.

hi david,

thanks for the reply. do you know if there are any issues relating to publishing pictures? i thought i heard something about french privacy laws being quite strict.
