Shooting in US Prisons

Soooo, I thought I was a few days away from getting the necessary permissions, but those few days just turned in to upwards of 9 months here in California. While I know any state will have its own fiery hoops to jump through, anyone know if there are there certain states that grant permission more readily than others to shoot in their prisons?

On that note and to keep my spirits up, I would love to hear your stories of accessing the inaccessible. I found out I did it after the fact at a famous swordmaker’s workshop in Tokyo, but I think it was simply a case of no one asking him before. I’m talking about no, no, no, no, wait, yes!

Energy costs and all. By the way, why can’t I see this thread in the normal discussion log?
