Siegfried Modola is a documentary photojournalist based in Nairobi who has covered numerous stories in East Africa in the last years.

Having lived in Kenya most his life has given him the precious opportunity to build a relationship with and learn more about the country and today it is where he feels most at home.

He graduated with a BA in journalism in 2004 and a Master in photojournalism and documentary photography from the London College of Communication at the end of 2009.

He worked for the United Nations (IRIN) as photographer and photo editor for nearly two years in Nairobi. He has taken pictures for Agence France Presse, Reuters, Getty Images, BBC, IRIN and other UN agencies. He has also worked as photo editor for AFP in Paris.

Exhibited in London, New Delhi and Nairobi.
