Sierra leone

I have been offered an assignment in the diamond mining district of Sierra Leone. Any info, advice or contacts would be appreciated as I will not have much ground support upon arrival. I am told there will be no electricity in Kono other then that I will be expecting simialr conditions as in Eastern Africa.

Hi Sarah

Try to contact Dutch photographer Kadir van Lohuizen. He has done a large project on the diamond mining.
From what I have heard about it these places a very dangerous. Kadir went out in the field only with multiple armed guards.
