Smile shutter from SONY.

Whereas in America, HP makes camera to help you look slimmer, here in Japan, SONY is bringing out a new function to their cybershots. It’s called “smile shutter”.

Using the face detection technology, the camera will detect when the subject smiles, and automatically hits the shutter.

One can even decide what level of smile you want the camera to detect, whether you want shutter to come down with a little smile, medium smile or big smile.

It also comes with a 3.5 inch touch screen LCD, and not a single button on the back.

It’s all in Japanese, but here it is:

If they could just merge the technologies so that everyone could always be skinny and happy, the world would be a much faker place.

Nice one Brian ! I’m working with Nikon and Sony at the moment to bring out the new SSS technology on the D series cameras. Its full name is the stepford shutter system.
