Some feedback please
|
Hello everyone.. Thanks for stopping through. I am a recently retired photoassistant making that lovely leap to working photographer. It has been about 8 months and things seem to be progressing.. I would appreciate any feedback on my work. Thank you.

Hello Jon, Your site is very slow to load, I have high speed DSL, and still it took so long I have yet to be able to see the site. Looked at your LS portfolio you have some amazing portraits, and interesting landscapes , but would suggest a tigher edit all around, to maintain impact of the very strong images. Jon some of the photos look very soft and pixelated, maybe you uploaded them too small ?
|
the load time was fine for me…site looks great. the softness in the gallery is an upload size thing, as they look sharp on the other site. great portraits, the tears are quite wonderful, you are doing well, eh? there are a few things I would edit, but overall looks really nice.

Hi Angela
Thank you so much. I have been curious about the speed of my site. It seems to me it has slowed down a little as well. But that seems a little out of the ordinary.. Going to have to talk to my provider.. Would love more feedback on this issue from others.. I hear you on the tighter edit. I am curious what you think my stronger and weaker images are. I attached smaller files yes, will repair that, thanks for pointing it out.
Thanks again for the feedback jon

Thank you Erica
I would love to hear what you think as far as specific images. I am surviving at the moment.. As you know there are a few photographers here in NY. Still waiting to crack a few of these photo editors.. tough lot they are ; )

Jon, see if other people have a problem with the upload, maybe it’s my DSL provider and available bandwidth is low this morning. From your Gallery Portraits 1,2,6,7,8,11 are striking , the color is incredible, studio shots?
and 9,12,13,14, I like the feeling in these ones. It’s tough for me to see the urban landscapes as v. pixelated so diff to judge. But personally 22,23 are not a strong indicator of what you are capable of. and some of the scenes with more people could be tighter. But as I said I can’t see your site and a different edit could make all the difference.

Yikes!! just seeing how soft everything is… Thanks for the specifics. Yes in studio. It seems that the images appear warmer in the LS profile screen?? Maybe it is my monitor too.. Thank you for the valuable information. I think you have a valid point about my LS edit.
